Good oral hygiene is a critical component of an animal’s overall health. Not only does dental disease affect the health of the teeth and gums but it also can affect internal organs, specifically the heart, kidneys, and liver. At CAH we evaluate the teeth and gums with every physical exam and can help guide you to what care your pet may need- from home brushing, to enzymatic dental chews, to a professional cleaning.
Complete oral exams and dental cleanings are performed under general anesthesia. As with surgical procedures, your pet’s vital signs are closely monitored using our state-of-the-art equipment. Our fully equipped dental suite includes ultra-sonic equipment for teeth cleaning, digital x-ray for below the gum line exams, and high speed fiber optic hand pieces for advanced dental work.
