Meet Our Staff
Chelsey
Veterinary Assistant
Chelsey grew up in Rome, Ga where she attended school at Shorter College and worked at a vet clinic for over 2 years. Then went on to get her license at UGA/Colorado. Ever since she was little she was fascinated with all types of animals and made her parents read books about animals constantly! Chelsey has one dog/daughter named Lexie that is a Pomeranian that wears high fashion clothes and always looks stunning! When not working she enjoys spending time at the park, running and with friends and family!
Kaamilya
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Kaamilya is a Registered Veterinary Technician. She received her Associates Degree in Specialized Technology from Vet Tech Institute in Pittsburg, PA, where she graduated with High Honors. She is especially interested in animal behavior. She has 1 cat name Scrappy and loves working with all types of animals. She grew up in the Atlanta area and enjoys being around her family.
Maria
Veterinary Assistant
Maria is originally from Southern California but has lived in Atlanta for 12 years. Coming from the hospitality field she is enjoying her new career path in the veterinary field. Maria has a Bachelor of Business Administration from National University in San Diego. She lives with her two furry children Maggie and Shelby, both rescue dogs.
Robert
Veterinary Assistant/Technician
Robert grew up surrounded by pets and realized at a young age that he wanted a career working with them. His first job was working in the kennel at the veterinary clinic where his family took their pets. He earned an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology from Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College in Tifton , Georgia in 1989. Originally from Tallahassee , Florida , after college he moved to metro Atlanta where he has worked at several small animal practices, including several years managing an emergency clinic. Before joining Collier Animal Hospital , he most recently worked in a sales support position for a veterinary digital radiography company. When not working, Robert enjoys almost any outdoor activity, especially hiking in the mountains.
Talitha
Veterinary Assistant
Talitha has been a technician for 4 years and loves working with animals. She holds a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Louisville and is currently continuing her education to become a registered veterinary technician. She is also an avid traveler who enjoys pet sitting for clients, going to the movies, and playing with her dog "Jessica".
Mr. Wiggles
Public Relations Director
Mr. Wiggles (Wiggs as he is known among his colleagues) joined our staff in January of 2009 after recovering from a severe case of pneumonia. While we are the first hospital to employ him, he has a strong PR background and utilizes his skills on a daily basis. He greets clients and patients quickly and readily with a welcoming meow and purr. He enjoys leading tours through the hospital and stands ready at attention to help the support staff with whatever they need in the treatment area. Wiggs has been a welcome addition to our staff and he looks forward to nurturing a long term relationship with us.
