Meet Dr. Shannon Ewing
Shannon Ewing, DVM, is a graduate of the University of Georgia’s College of Veterinary Medicine. After finishing her DVM, she completed a Small Animal Internship focusing on Medicine, Surgery, and Oncology at Purdue University. She then spent another 6 months rotating through Internal Medicine and Oncology at Kansas State’s College of Veterinary Medicine before relocating to the Atlanta area.
After working in the Atlanta area for 5 years, she opened Collier Animal Hospital fulfilling her dream of owning her own business. Dr. Ewing believes that educating her clients is the key to better compliance and ultimately better care for her patients. She enjoys discussing all aspects of a patient’s care and welcomes questions.
Dr. Ewing is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Greater Atlanta Veterinary Medical Society, the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Animal Hospital Association. Her special veterinary interests include internal medicine, oncology, and surgery. Personally she plays recreational softball and flag football. Shannon lives with her partner Keri, their two children Audrey and Grayson; dogs Petie and Buster; and cats Nicodemus, Orca, and Sasha.
